Zvezdniy Passenger Ferry

Here we have another passenger ferry model ship plan set. Passenger ferry Zvezdniy was built in 1970, with 3 sister ships (Vladimir Mayakovsky, Turist and Zarya) for Blacksea coastal passenger transport. But this series of ferries were also used in local lines of Baltic Sea because they were found succesfull. Zvezdniy means “Star”. We should thank my friend Gaye Serpen for her help on translation.

These ferries were 33.5 meters long, 5,3 meters wide, 2.6 meters hight and 1.6 meters draught. They had two 300 hp engines which thrusted them to a speed of 14.2 knots. They were capable of carrying 200 passengers. I found some photos of her after she was renamed “Express Panagia Parou”.
