Mohamed Hussein’s model ships
I know, we should be updating here more often, but between work and challenges of life, not so much time is left to spare. Last week, i received an e-mail from Mohamed Hussein, and he reminded this reality to me once again. But the good part is now i can share his beautiful model ships with you, and this eases my hand.
Mohamed lives in Cairo, Egypt. He is fifty two years old and making scale model ships for fifteen years.
He uses the plans he finds on the internet including the model ship plans which are published here. He mainly uses balsa wood, but he is not strict about the material. He says “any unneeded piece at home should fit” and i agree with that. I hope he builds more model ships and shares with us.
If you are not restricting material for a specific reason, i think a model maker should be free to use anything, if the main goal is to get the feeling. If the model looks allright, realistic, it does not matter what it is made from.
