Drydocking M/F PRIDE OF BRUGES

It is quite easy for us to work around our scale models, lift them, float them in the bath tub, play with them like little kids. It is our hobby, far from being tiring or boring. But it is some people’s job to maintain real ships which are hundreds of times larger then our model ships.

BBC made a documentary about this, while the ferry Pride of Bruges was in drydock. You can see all the process step by step.  Tom Wrigglesworth and Rob Bell are presenting the story. They start with docking the ship, they get in every section of the vessel, then they take us to Belgium, Europe’s largest ship breaking yard, then back to Pride of Bruges. It is very fun! Enjoy!

There are more documentaries about ships on the way!
