M/V Croatia ran aground in Ereğli

After unloading scrap metal cargo to Erdemir Port, the cargo ship Croatia left the dock to anchor in the harbor. But heavy seas and strong winds dragged the ship to the shore. Two tugs from Erdemir port rushed to the rescue but the could not manage it. The ship beached parallel to the shore and got some damage on the hull. The crew is safe and onboard the ship. The salvage operations will continue when the weather gets calmer.
