USCG Mackinaw (WAGB 83)

Icebreaker Mackinaw is a unique ship when we take a look at the other icebreakers in US fleet. She was based on Wind Class but she was wider and longer than the wind class. Also she was lighter cause she was specially built for Great Lakes. She has a bow propeller under the icebreaker curve.

She was built by American Shipbuilding & Drydock Company in 1944. She served until 2006 and now she is serving as a museum ship in Michigan.
